Hi, I’m Alex (On The Left) I’m an up and coming writer and filmmaker. Based in the United Kingdom.

I’ve worked for a variety of productions from Indie Short & Feature Films to Big Budget Features & High End Television. When not trying to break into the AD Department, I produce Short Films, Music Videos and Commericals.

I’ve been writing for many years from short stories to concise informative articles, topics of interest often vary, although usually. The most common writing topics of choice include films, literature, art, history and sometimes when in a brave mood…even politics. I’m currently in the process of completing my first book, though nobody wants to hear about that!

Having loved films for longer than I can remember, I started writing reviews and essays when I was a teenager and started sharing them with people a little while after. TheNaiveFilmmaker.com is a blog for like minded film enthusiasts, where they can read all about film and filmmaking from Hollywood Blockbusters to Independent and Foreign Cinema.

Despite being hopelessly neurotic, I am greatly loved by my friend’s parents! In rare free time I love watching films, reading, hiking, going to gigs and finding photos of cats to send to his wife.
