What a month June has been! To tell you the truth I need to start keeping a diary because the lines between what happened in June, May and July have all become very blurred to me.
It’s a strange time to be a student, with the vast majority of people who live in my building going home for the summer. But there are a few of us sticking it out, usually because we have jobs here but for many its an inability to return home because of the pandemic.
My month has mostly been about work, something that generally has never been good news for me, but has actually been pleasant because I like my colleagues so much, it takes a lot to make work an enjoyable excursion, but they’ve done it.
I have also been working on a film with a few friends, a short film that takes place in the Welsh Countryside, we’ve spent a few late nights location scouting and planning, my girlfriend spent the better part of half an hour laying on the floor to plan a camera shot.
I discovered a new favourite Thai restaurant and some pubs that I’m likely to visit more, It’s nice to finally be getting to know the city I live in. I also explored the museum for the first time in years. 10/10, I’ll go back this week for the Richard Burton Exhibition.
I watched The Father and had to hide my crying in the cinema and I saw Fast and Furious with a friend, two very different kinds of film, both very much enjoyed.
(I know its popular to hate on Fast and Furious Films, but they know what they are and I respect them for that).
I’m still busy trying to put together my documentary, its hard to find people to interview at the moment though!
Otherwise that’s life from this end! Basically I’m just doing my best to pay rent!
More news next month my dudes!
Keep safe!
